Ginger Chanel Johnson was raised in Michigan, born to a musical family. Her parents tried many different hobbies with Ginger, but after seeing her play Baby June in Gypsy at age 6, it was clear the hobby she must do - performing! Whether that was in community theatre musicals, the many family bands, the national anthem for her swim meets in high school, on Sundays in church, or playing Karaoke Revolution, Ginger’s days have always been filled with music and performing. She is a recent graduate from the University of Oklahoma with a BFA in Musical Theatre. Recent credits include: Trish in Kinky Boots at Music Theatre Wichita, Carole King in Beautiful at Omaha Playhouse, a musician/vocalist for country band The Tennessee Line at Anakeesta in Gatlinburg, TN, and most recently as a principal vocalist in Burn The Floor on The NCL Breakaway. She loves and finds inspiration from music of all genres, decades, and styles. She has released some of her own music on all platforms under the name saintgingerthemartyr.
