"We are so excited to be in our fifth season here at the Alabama Theatre. It's hard to believe that we have been singing together and entertaining audiences for over ten years. As a result of this lifestyle, we are often in each other's company literally around the clock. This sometimes makes it easy to communicate on stage with just a glance. Other times it is hard to fight giggles! Whether we are on stage as Mary Poppins and Bert or passing each other in the hallway, we always try to have fun. But the excitement does not end when the curtain falls, for our toddler, Reilly, keeps us entertained all the time."

The Band began playing at the Bowery in Myrtle Beach in the 1970’s under the name Wild Country. Working for tips only, the band quickly built a loyal fan base, drawing tourists back year after year. The group evolved over the next 3 decades to become one of the most successful country music acts in history. They selected Myrtle Beach as their destination because of its tourist industry and the unique mix of people that made up the audience. “It was a place that would give a band a serious opportunity to play for a wide variety of people,” explains Randy Owen. It was only natural years later for them to return to their roots to build their namesake theatre.

Tammy Cochran, from the little town of Austinburg, Ohio rose to fame in 2001, earning acclaim as country music’s greatest new voice with comparisons to legends like Patsy Cline. “It wasn’t supposed to even be a single,” she says of her ballad Angels In Waiting, which hit #9 on Billboard’s Country Singles Chart on its road to an incredible series of accolades. “I never really thought people beyond my own family would be able to relate to it.” Thousands of fans across the world connected not only with the song, but also with the emotionally compelling video, which featured home movie clips of Cochran playing with her brothers Shawn and Alan, who both died young. The video not only won a handful of major awards - including a Billboard Music Video Award and Video Of The Year at the Christian Country Awards, but turned Cochran into a spokesperson and fundraiser for Cystic Fibrosis, a role that continues to this day.
